Lucid Redesign


❄️LUCID REDESIGN❄️

After having a lot of people try Lucid in person, I discovered that I had a game with a lot of potential. Every build I have made has (at least to me) felt rushed. I got mixed feedback ranging from the game being too difficult to it being too easy. But one thing I was told by everyone was that it felt good. Hearing that has given me an idea. To redesign the game.

❄️What Do I Mean By Redesign?

I am not redoing all of the art and music, nor am I changing the characters/story. I will be taking a different approach to level design and the story/gameplay ratio. After spending quite some time in college, I have refined my design skills (aka I watched videos on good level design and I played some games with good level design). I plan on making levels friendly to beginners, experts, and of course- speedrunners. It will be a difficult task but a fun one. I look forward to sharing my work with everyone and getting feedback!

❄️Will This Delay Release?

No. As a matter of fact, this might speed it up. I often lose motivation because I feel like each level I add isn't fun. Now that I have a fresh start in a new environment, I can let my ideas flourish. I have removed any playable demos on Itch.io as of now (I hated the demo I put out and I can do better). Of course, there are playable demos on my Discord which I'm too lazy to link. If all goes smoothly, I can have a demo available with the redesigned levels very shortly.
